I'm seeing some conflicting documentation about ArcGIS Server Custom Identity stores that enable custom applications to link roles to service permissions. One piece of documentation says they are not supported any longer, "Custom identity stores using Java or .NET are no longer supported with ArcGIS Server. You should not configure a custom identity store with your server site. https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/server/10.8/get-started/windows/what-s-new-in-arcgis-for-server.htm but another piece of documentation discusses them as a valid architectural pattern, https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/server/latest/administer/windows/configuring-arcgis-server-security.htm. Can Esri provide some clarity please? Thank you.
