"Er is een fout opgetreden" - applicatiefout met Esri Maps for Office 2.1

<\/HEAD>Ik heb Esri Maps for Office 2.1 geïnstalleerd en hoewel de installatie goed verloopt (de Add-in verschijnt in het lint in Excel en Powerpoint), krijg ik zodra ik probeer een kaart in te voegen in een leeg Excel-document of leeg Powerpoint-document de melding "Er is een fout opgetreden."<\/P><\/SPAN> Ik heb de volgende configuratie:<\/SPAN> EsriMapsForOffice_x86_2.1_en.exe (Installatiebestand)<\/SPAN> Windows 7 Professional (Versie 6.1.7601 SP 1 Build 7601) x64<\/SPAN> MS Excel 2013 (15.0.4454.1503) MSO (15.0.4517.1005) 32-Bit<\/SPAN> MS PowerPoint 2013 (15.0.4420.1017) MSO (15.0.4517.1005) 32-Bit<\/SPAN> Ik heb geprobeerd Esri Maps for Office te verwijderen en opnieuw te installeren, MS Office gerepareerd, en alle Windows-updates voltooid (vanaf 29-07-2013), maar het werkt nog steeds niet.<\/SPAN> Als bijkomende opmerking: ik heb de 64-bit versie van Maps for Office geïnstalleerd op een volledig 64-bit virtuele machine en deze installeert en werkt prima.<\/SPAN> <\/P><\/SPAN><\/BODY><\/HTML>

Hi,

the error occurs, because PowerPoint tries to load the TopoMap from AGOL and not from your Portal. If you don't have acces to the internet you will get this error after the request times out. I found a defaultconfiguration.xml at \program files\Esri Maps for Office\config there is a link to the TopoMap at AGOL. I tried to change this value but it won't fix the problem.

Can anyone help with this?

Has anyone figured out what is causing this?  I'm having a similar issue where it tries to locate the items in the worksheet, but then
throws the error once it has run for a bit (while flashing "Processing" in the Map Contents).

I'm getting the same error as Kate.  I'm running Office 2013 Professional and uninstalled/reinstalled EM4O 2.1.1.  I always get to the same point of adding excel data to the map and it crashes.  I've attached a screenshot below.

I get to the Location Columns and I get an Error message "An error has occurred."  This error message is really helpful with explaining how to fix the error...

Don't know what to do.  Any ideas?
