Process for creating Ops Dashboard?

Hello! When I create a dashboard, I am unable to to select the appropriate layer for the survey without setting the "What can submitters do?" option to "Add and update records." Is this intended? When I select this setting, I'm advised that my survey responses will be exposed, which I don't want. Is there a different way to set the layer permissions?

ArcGIS Dashboards require query, advanced statistics, and some other functions turned on in the feature layer to work. By default Survey123 turns off some of these functions to protect your data. The easiest way to get a view of your data with all the necessary functionality is to Share the results of your survey. You do not have to leave it shared, you just have to share it initially to get Survey123 to create the _results view for you at which point you can unshare.

 

 

Then be sure to use the newly created view in your dashboard.
