Hi, blend modes for layers is a nice feature for web maps. As far I can see, this is not supported through the native SDKs. Are there any plans to support this feature for iOS or Android?https://www.esri.com/about/newsroom/arcuser/blendmodes/https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/sample-code/intro-blendmode-layer/
The lack of layer blending support in the Native Maps SDKs is something that we are aware of and something that we would like to support. We haven't been able to prioritize that work yet. But hopefully we can get to it soon. It would be good to hear from you if there are certain workflows that you need that require layer blending and that would help strengthen the case to prioritize it.
Thanks for the reply, @rolson_esri.I think the main argument to support this is just that one would expect that any webmap item you create in AGOL (where you can setup layer blending) should be supported and look roughly the same on both web and native SDKs.
Any updates @rolson_esri ?
No updates. Next time we have a planning meeting I can make sure to raise awareness for this feature. It will have to be prioritized with all the other features we will be considering.
This is important for us. We use it to show World_Hillshade on top of map.It works on web
But in an app it do not work, attached movie show it
Hi, we have people out working with natural hazards (rockfall, landslide, debris flow, etc) and it is vital for them to see a detailed hillshade combined with topographic map, in order to visualize relevant features on ground.I was suprised and a bit disapointed when realizing that blend mode is not supported on iOS/Android.
