Submitting a survey collected offline

When collecting data through the app while offline, will field users need to manually push a submit button after reaching wifi or cell service, or can/will the app send it automatically once a connection is available?

As far as I know, they'll need to go in and hit submit since the surveys will be saved in the outbox.
