Basemap widget won't re-open default basemap

I ran into an issue with the base map widget. My web map has a custom base map for our operations, but sometimes I need to swap to Imagery or something else. However, when I swap the base map to something other than the default, then want to swap back to the tactical base map, nothing happens. Does anyone have a workaround for this?
