Change thumbnail of custom Python Toolbox and tools

Is there some way to change the thumbnails of a custom Python Toolbox and the respective tools in ArcMap 10.8?

I changed the icons in the element description and help pages, but this had no effect on how the tools are displayed in the Catalog.
