I want to put a dynamic "newest Data" area like is on the ESRI open data page here: https://opendata.arcgis.com/
But I can't find sample code anywhere. Can someone help me out with a link or samples?

I realize this question is aging like wine and I don't have an answer for you today, unfortunately.
We'll take this into consideration for our Gallery Card in Dynamic mode. We currently don't have a means to sort to results that come back from the group query on the gallery card and I think this is something that would work well there.
