Add surface information - tool yield only positive values

Hello,

I am using the Add surface information tool to calculate Avg_Slope (average slope) along a 300m line but the tool is only returning positive values. I would like negative values as well.

A similar problem has been reported on StackExchange but it is not yet fully solved. This is the link for the query. I have all licenses for ArcGIS pro and I am using v3.0.0

I have attached photos of the attribute table and dialog box. Please let me know if you need anything else to assist me.
