Area in S123 and ArcPRO diffrent

Hi all!

In the process of testing form we saw that the polygon area  in Survey123, that was count automatically and the polygon area calculated in ArcPro diffrent.

This diffrence is quite large.

I used one coordinate system. For Sirvey 123 was using formula area(${polygon}).

In ArcPro polygon area was calculating also automatically with using Calculate geometry.

My question is - What algorithm does Survey 123 use to calculate polygon area? And how is it possible to get the same area between s123 and arcPRO?

In Pro, calculate the planar area, and compare Pro's planar and geodesic areas to what S123 returns.  Hopefully, one will match.

You can also get Survey123 to print out the area in a Feature Report as both geodesic and planar  - docs here.

In ArcGIS Pro, which area calculation method did you use?  Planar or Geodesic?
