How can I turn off uneccessary credential login request to Dashboards?

Hi community,

I have a publicly shared Dashboard, with all content publicly shared, and yet when external users or incognito users try to view the Dashboard, a credential login window pops up. With a few clicks the user can cancel out of it and view the dashboard (verifying there are no sharing restrictions) but it creates a barrier to non-professional users.  I have reviewed similar, but fairly old posts like this: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-dashboards-questions/internal-ops-dashboard-asking-for-credentials/m-p/337876#M1901

I have also looked through the Dashboards documentation. What is the latest solution to this?
