Automatic workforce assignment notifications

Hi, everyone. As a background, we are using Citizen Problem Reporter in AGOL and I have set up a scenario in Integromat that automatically creates Workforce tasks when an issue has been reported. I have been doing research and was wondering if someone knows of a way in which we can customize Workforce in a manner that will send a notification (either email or text) to the assigned worker when that assignment is specified? I realize I could likely set up an email trigger / webhook in Integromat that could generate that email when a workforce assignment is created, but I am more so looking for when that assignment is assigned to an individual and that specific individual receives an email or text message notifying them of the new task.

The way in which it operates now where the app has to be open and running on the worker's device is not working out for us at the moment as tasks are left waiting far too often.

The need for Workforce to be open and in use for notifications to appear is a known issue and one we're working on now for a release in Q2 of this year.

We're working on adding support for Workforce to sync while the app is in the background.

However, the ability to send Push notifications to a worker, whether the Workforce is running or not, is not part of this release.  That is in our backlog but it has not been assigned to a release.

Thank you for the reply. We are currently using Integromat, but I think for us the challenge is coming from translating the Worker ID GUID field of the Assignments layer (which is the GlobalID of the Workers layer) to the Worker's "Name" field or utilizing the "Contact Number" field from the Workers layer to display in the Assignments layer so I can push out notifications from Integromat using that field. I'm just not sure if that is possible.
