Created ACC account, uploaded a drawing, made myself admin, I created the project in AGO, but can't get past this error. Any clues?
Hi Jorge,
Have you seen this step-by-step walkthrough of the GeoBIM process? https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/0150b4d7004d439f8d7875f51fc1b1e9
The short version, once you're account is established and connects to Autodesk, use the Tools page to perform georeferencing.
Assuming your DWG file was correctly located and has a valid coordinate system or PRJ file stored with the same name in ACC, running the Tools should create a polygon boundary for your DWG.
If you select that boundary, the Link Explorer will show you a link to the source file in ACC using the Autodesk Forge Viewer.
Have a look through the above document and let me know if you have questions.
Thanks for your question. Please have a look here and let us know if your problem is solved: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-geobim-questions/authorize-arcgis-geobim-to-connect-to-autodesk/m-p/1125877#M10
Great. I will have a look at the storymap and stop clicking things randomly. 🙂
Interestingly, a sample project draws the envelopes correctly, but I'm not getting the viewer or a link other than the one showing in the popup.
Interestingly 2, a drawing I grabbed from the Civil 3D training data folder, is drawing in Null Island. I suspect this is where the .prj issue comes into play.
Thanks, Stephen!
I was totally neglecting these two steps. Now I can't quite figure out how to bring a drawing I have in the ACC.
I'm confident I shared them properly, I see them in the projects table, but how do you actually bring the .dwg in?
