Change only the height of a feature

Question

Hi Community,

I have long and narrow polygon feature representing roads that I want to enlarge in height. I tried Scale in editor and of course its also enlarging the length.

The roads are connected to each other so I don't want to change this position. Just make the roads a bit larger.

Anyone has an idea how I could enlarge the height without adjusting manually the vertices?

Thanks for sharing! You would have to select them one by one (or maybe with a rectangle) and that's what I wanted to avoid.

I will try with autocomplete!

One way is to create another polygon (adjacent to your road polygon) with desired boundary using auto-complete polygon , and merge this polygon to your road polygon (Editor > Merge).

Another way is to select all the vertices at one side, and move.
