ArcGIS Online Configure Charts Feature

Working through the ArcGIS Lesson on Plan Outreach with Mexican Census Data. Last step!!! Asks for a chart. When I select the layer the configure charts on the light menu won't work. I can't seem to be able to add a chart that way as per the directions. Any help? Thank you...

Thank you for your question. While following the steps described in the training workflow, I was also unable to create a chart.

However, after adding the 'Popular Demographics in the United States' data from Living Atlas to a new map, the Configure Chart option became available.

Have you tried creating a chart using alternative data?
