Secure connections in mobile 9.3.1 and 10

Question

I'm setting up a new server with security.  I'm using SQL Server authentication (2008 64bit 9.3.1 probab 10 soon).

I can't see any examples that work.

Should I be using token generation?  Because that doesn't appear to be working.
e.g. for the tokengenerator what is the tokenserviceurl??

Currently not using SSL.

Or should I just use something using network credential cache?  (Which would be using IIS security right?)

Would it be possible to do the reverse of that and connect a 10 sdk app to a 9.3.1 service?

That would not be possible. Nearly everything has been changed for Mobile.
For Mobile 10 you now get a very good standard client by using the mobile project center. it is a wpf client you can modify with own tasks and extensions.
Problem is, you cannot change main app. If you want to do this, you have to create an own apllication basing on the mobile ADF like before in 9.3.

BTW is it possible to connect a 9.3.1 SDK app to ArcGIS Server 10?

Because I'm getting 404 errors... has something fundamentally changed?
