Hi,
Cloud server documentation does not mention Oracle with AWS.
My client is using Oracle RDS with AWS.
is there any feddback with Amazon and Oracle for a enterprise geodatabase ?
Thanks
Arnaud
Based on the below documentation, we have three AMIs available (SQL Express on Windows, SQL Server on Windows, and PostgreSQL on Linux):
Introduction to Amazon Web Services terminology
http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.2/index.html#/Introduction_to_Amazon_Web_Services_terminology/00rq00000004000000/
While it is possible to deploy Oracle on the AWS Cloud, I don't think it is currently supported.
Are there any update / experience since then? As far as I know, the current documentation doesn't mention Oracle.
Has anybody heard anything more updated since 2015? We use the AWS AMI for SQL Express but use a separate Linux Oracle database server without any issues. However, we are considering swapping our database servers to Oracle RDS on AWS and I am wondering if anybody has had success with this setup.
I was affraid of that answer. In fact using AMI will not be possible, we will have to setup products manually
