ArcGIS Pro 3.4.2: Why doesn’t the font size value in the ribbon change when the legend is resized?

For example, in the screenshot below, the initial font size of the text within the legend was set to 10 pt. After resizing the legend, the displayed text size physically increased, but the numerical font size in the ribbon remained unchanged.

How can the ribbon reflect dynamic changes in font size, such that resizing the legend also updates the displayed font size value accordingly?

Do take a look at the Legend fitting strategies. Legend fitting strategies—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation

Right click on Legend > Properties > Legend Arrangement Options to access it. The two you need to try are Adjust Frame or Adjust font size. Adjust frame will limit the size of your legend based on the font size provided. Adjust font size will change the font size based on the size of the legend frame.

I wish I could get the text to resize for me. I have it set to resize the font, but it does nothing no matter how big or small I make my legend. Selecting a different fitting strategy does nothing.
