I am a newby with Collector, I need to edit my collected and I opened it in ARCGIS Desktop but I get "The workspace containing this data cannot be edited" and "no editable layers"

moved to Collector for ArcGIS rather than this place...which getting help on the GeoNet community

You need to go to the Editor menu and uncheck "Edit a version of the data"
