Attribute table hides fields sometimes, even after you have turned all fields on

If I do the following:

- Add a shapefile
- Open the attribute table
- Hide a few fields
- Turn all fields back on

... I've noticed that sometimes the previously hidden fields will not show up regardless of ALL fields being checked in the layer properties. The only solution is to remove the layer and then re-add it. It would be nice if this would just work the way it's supposed to.
