No EDN license is necessary to obtain the ArcGIS Runtime SDKs. Just check out Install and set up—ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Android | ArcGIS for Developers . And that's it!

Yes. The fact that an EDN subscription is NOT required is true for all ArcGIS Runtime SDKs, across the board.

Is this true for other run time sdks for example Java? It will be great if there is a reference about SDKs which do not require an active EDN license.
