By required, are you meaning that parentglobalid occurs in the XLSForm?  If so, it sounds like the format being submitted might be incorrect.  Can you provide an example of the data being submitted?

Hi James,  Thanks for you quick reply, The parentglobalid is required for a repeat. The database is a agol hosted service. I am just not sure where to look to find the issue.

Hi Brent,

It appears that something might be at issue with the parentglobalid being submitted.  Is the parentglobalid this in the form itself (or not in the form but present as it's required for a repeat)?  Are you the DBA for this database (it does not look like a hosted service)?
