Hyperlink not working

Hello, I'm trying to include a hyperlink in a Paragraph in Story maps, but all that shows is the script as written, both in edit and preview mode. I tested the example text given in here, and that too fails to display as a link.

Hi -- There's no need to use code to add a link in the new ArcGIS StoryMaps. Just highlight the text you want to use as the link, click the Link button on the formatting toolbar that appears, and then paste in your URL.
