Pass filter value through URL ?

Hi

Is it possible to pass filter value through URL just like we could with query ?  

I tried and it didn't work for me.  I'm not sure I didn't do it correctly or it's just not possible.

What I tried is like this

http://myserver:3344/webappbuilder/apps/2/?filter=Accounts,ID,5
