Why won't the attributes from a copied shape transfer over when pasted in another layer in Collector?

Matching fields, both text and integer. Shape gets copied over but matching fields don't get populated. No relationship class. Fields are editable. Help!

Thanks! I was afraid of that but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

Collector has no concept of 'matching fields' (unfortunately), you can only copy attributes when you're creating a feature based on one in the same layer.
