How can I repeat a task on a timer in ArcGIS Pro?
Specifically, I would like to refresh a XY event layer automatically on a timeslot, such as once every 10 seconds.

John - I see this is an old thread but wanted to reply. A layer in AGP can be refreshed by going to Layer Properties->General and clicking the box "Layer should be refreshed periodically." Set the time interval to 10 seconds. Now your layer refreshes every 10 seconds in a Map View.
