How to add pop-ups to a vector tile service?

Question

I'm trying to add pop-ups to my vector tile layer but I cannot find it.

I'm publishing the layer following this Create Vector Tile Package—Data Management toolbox | ArcGIS for Desktop, once it is published on AGOL and added to the map, the option to configure pop-ups is missing.

Has someone been able to add them?

Attributes do not carry over with a vector tile package, so there wouldn't be anything to show a popup for.
