ArcGIS Server; How To Use external WMTS Capabilities File; Option is missing

Hello,
I have published an image service and this service offers wms and wmts (cache for this service is created).

in service properties there is the option to use an external capabilities file for wms, but i didn't find any option for using an external capabilities file for my wmts.

how can i load an external capabilities file for my wmts? is there a certain file path where the capabilities files are stored? maybe i can just replace the file there?

The capabilities xml file for WMTS is automatically generated by ArcGIS Server using a jsp process and I would not recommend changing it except in extremis, with a backup and accepting the risk.  What you can do if the WMTS service is stable and not changing is to copy the WMTSCapabilities.xml file, edit it to add say contact details and then publish it through a web server, such as IIS as long as the http internals listed in the WMTSCapabilities point back to the original ArcGIS Server.
