Switch applications in same view with web appbuilder

I would like to know if it is possible to switch between 2 maps (or applications) within web appbuilder developer edition, without affecting the connectivity of the widgets to their respective web maps in the same view? For example, could you present tabs and each tab have a different map with its respective widgets such as this example provided here.

No. This is not an option in WAB. Your example uses 4.x API so this may be an option in the new Experience Builder that will come out in Beta soon.

There is this widget available.

I have not used it so I can not say how it does with widgets configured for layers in the webmap.
