Grid/Graticule labels - Principal Digits for Geographic coordinates

Question

I wish to label my geographic coordinates (DMS) on my graticule with only principal digits showing, except for the corner labels - much in the same way it can be done with MGRS grid.

How is this possible without:

using an XML in the 'Make Grids and Graticules Layer' tool or

converting the grid to a graphic and editing?

Unfortunately, I think you're right, and you can only do this with the methods you listed.

Hi Sephe, the Principal digits being the minutes value.

By Principal digits, do you mean no decimal places, only the degrees value, or something else altogether?
