ARCGIS Explorer 1750 crashes

Question

Downloaded and installed 1750. Ran the app and before I saw the desktop screen, it crashed.  Have closed all running programs, uninstalled and installed but without success.  My machine exceeds all requirements as per System Requirements Lab test results.
I have ARCGIS 10 on this machine and runs fine.  Want to port my shapes to 1750 so that a client can use them. Any ideas what is wrong?

Thanks for the idea however, the wizard "could not find a better match for (my) hardware than the software (I) currently have installed." Any other suggestions?

I am now hesitating to load such software on computers in rural areas where users are not savvy and hardware not "top of line".
Any other freeware alternatives to ArcGIS Explorer?

Most issues I've encountered tend to stem from out-of-date/missing video drivers. Try updating your video driver to the most recent version.
