can a relationship field be used as a symbol?

I have a related table to one of my layers, can I use the fields from that to symbolize the output?

Yes, exactly.. Its a relationship used on a layer used as a web service on AGOL. I want to symbolize based on one of the fields from the relationship table in my AGOL web map. Is that somehow possible?

Can you be a little clear on what do you mean by relationship field? Do you mean a field from a related table?
