Enhancement: Honor "Do Not Show In Legend" Properties from Web Map for TOC

Question

I noticed that if you choose to hide a layer from the legend in a Web Map the layer still displays in the TOC.  It would be nice if you could hide a layer from both the legend and TOC for display purposes.  Thank you for your consideration.

It's been nearly two years, but yes, that's something I'd like to be able to do.  Is there a way to do that presently, much as Web App Builder would let you narrow the layer list associated with any particular instance of the layer widget?

For the map layers widget, you would like to choose which layers to show in the layer list, correct?
