How to ArcGIS in attributive table restore data after replacing the field?

How to ArcGIS 10 in attributive table restore data after replacing the field with the field? After using the field calculator? Please help, I lost a lot of data!!

As far as I know the only way get it back is to NOT save it after doing the field calculator.  Unless you are in an SDE database than you may be able to recover it.
