Union Line

Question

I have a road center line with thousands of road segments. I would like to union all segments with the same Fename(street name) into just one line feature. Is this possible and if it is how can this be done?

How did you use the Dissolve tool to do this? Did you do an intersection of the lines first?

Yes I realize this is a 5 year old post. 😃 Just curious.

Just letting you know that i used the Dissolve tool for what i needed to do and it worked great.

I found the "Merge Feature" but I would like to merge all the lines that have the same FENAME. The "merge Features" just merges the selected feature, is there not a way to merge like this but by attribute field?
