*NEW* Augmented Reality App that works with your @ArcGISOnline point feature services by @Esrilabs and free https://marketplace.arcgis.com/listing.html?id=418dd96f17c342db8970457639563788
Hello Paul Ross, I saw a very informative presentation, "Augmented and Virtual Reality for Immersive Spatial Exploration and Decision-Making in Business" last November 8, 2018, by Eric Wittner and Rex Hansen. I've also viewed the AuGeo Quick Tutorial - YouTube. Is there any other Esri tutorials available that can be used by bachelor level students to make their own feature layer of our university campus sites and use with the AuGeo phone app? augeo higher ed higher education #teach arcgis
Hi Paul, What are the updates and what was improved? When will will see polyline support?
Is it possible to include the examples without signing to the portal?
Found this great app today by accident. Made a simple test dataset and loved the result. Just wondering how without using AppStudio can I:
I'd suggest a non-ESRI solution: the PeakFinder app (iOS and desktop browser; not sure if it's also on Android). Can work offline and is pretty fast and comprehensive.
There's a maximum distance setting in the app which appears limited to 10km. I've tried to extend that in the settings but it won't accept anything > 10,000m.
ooooo....10 km is way too short. Is that a hard-coded limitation?
Yes, but you'd need to have a layer of points for the top of each mountain, which you could then label with the name, and they'd need to be within 10km (from memory) of the point a user is standing at.
Any information on this update? Like others have mentioned support for polylines (with Z values) is what we're looking for.
Could these be used for distant objects? Common request I get...what's the name of that mountain? Have lots of mountains that cover a large area, folks stand on top of the highest one and try to ID the others....
Great App! I just have a question.
How do I get the distance lines back? Since the last update the distance lines have gone and there is only one now. I may have accidently turned them off, but I cannot seem to find where I turn them on. They were great for judging rough distances.
Thanks again for such a good app, keep up the good work!
I learned yesterday there will be an update to the app in a few weeks ... and that a few areas are much improved.
I'm wondering of the possibilities like finding assets in snow banks or underground assets etc. Any ideas about using lines.
Love the app! When will you be ready to support polyline with MZ? This would be very helpful for below ground appurtenances. Also, any plans to integrate with Workforce, Navigator, Survey123 and Collector?
