Accessing Survey123 IMG Repeats

Survey123 Connect Form. Using Begin Repeat and End Repeat for IMGs. Accessing repeat photos via Map Viewer Popup or Experience Builder List Widget.

I have tried several different arcade elements in the popup or attribute expressions and cannot access the attachments on the repeat table for my survey. I have also tried this in Experience builder (EB) with the list widget, and I cannot set it up to retrieve the photo for the attribute survey record. In EB the list widget will retrieve the first attachment for the entire repeat table and just use it for all records in the list. Looking for documentation to help me work this out, or if anyone has solved, please share.

You might have better luck using a feature info widget, which uses the popup for the map.

I configured an experience with the list referencing the main survey record. Clicking on the list opened the feature info widget, where I'd configured the popup to reference the related records.

Problem is.. when using a repeat in survey123, the photos are stored as attachments to a related table. The survey's point feature class is related to a "repeat" table, which then has photo attachments. Its two levels deep in terms of relationships. Enabling the attachments on the popup only show me the signature image I also have on my survey.

After you enable "Related Records" there is a link to the related records in the popup. once you click that it opens those details and attachment should be shown there.

Oh lord.. thank you! It worked. In all of the troubleshooting directions I went I guess the data I was looking at in the pop didn't have repeat records, so they were coming off blank. I don't want to mark this as solved yet though, because I still would like to figure out a way to retrieve these photos in EB. Sounds like @AlfredBaldenweck is on to something using the list widget to filter the Feature Info widget.

So I've tried setting up the list widget with the point feature class representing my survey data, and setup a feature info widget referencing the repeat table. On the list widget I went to setup up a trigger message based on record selection, but when I go to pick a target, only the map widget is available, not the feature info widget. How did you make a connection between your widgets?

Uhhh excellent question.

Here is my setup

It just kind of worked. I think I have it target the main feature and have them scroll down to the related record?

Unfortunately, my testing data is nested so it's getting complicated for me to play around, but what you could do is make two lists: One for the parent record, one for the photos. (The photos one can be hidden behind something)

Then, set an action on the parent list to select the related photos, then set your feature info widget to display the photos.

This may take some experimentation. I was able to get my parent record to select the child record, but could not really get anything going with the grandchildren records, so your mileage may vary

Its possible my users could get around needing a repeat in the survey, so I might abandon this altogether and just run with several image questions on my main survey. As long as they don't need lots of photos. However, I hate to run from a challenge, so I'll give it a bit more tinkering before I change course. This problem is similar to another I want to solve, in which I have a point feature class related many to many to a polyline. I want to be able to select a single point feature and have it select all of its related polylines. This is similar of a challenge in that the relationship between the point and polyline is maintained by an intermediary table to map the ids between them. Alas...
