Formatting date and time within the title in the Configure form

Hi 🙂

I am wondering if there is a way I can format the title of an editing form in the Form builder that you access through the configure editing option in map viewer.

Currently my title includes the last edited date field and the comments field from my table: {last_edited_date} - {comments}

This is what is displayed: 2/27/26, 1:15 PM - TESTING

I am wondering if there is a way I can format this date and time? Ideally the above would be displayed as 02/27/2026 1315hrs - TESTING

I know that formatting can be done using arcade expressions, although I am not sure if there is a way to put an arcade expression in this title field. If anyone knows how the date and time can be formatted differently in the title field that would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Hi @MayvaH,

It looks like the form title will allow you to choose a field, but not an expression.

One option would be to create a new field that is formatted the way you want so you can select it here.

Another thing to consider is using the Info box element to display this instead of the Form title since you can select expressions to display in the Info Box.

You could:

set up an expression on a field,
then uncheck it if you don't want to use it for that field
and it will still show up in the list of available expressions in the Info element:

I'm not completely sure if this will work, but does this workflow allow you to access calculated values within the title field?

Thanks for the response, is there a way that the new field could be calculated automatically/regularly? I am working with a dataset that will have new data added to it regularly and I am not able to run the calculation every time new data is added.

Hi @MayvaH, Sure, you could add the field to the form and use an arcade expression to calculate it automatically everytime that new data is added.

Sorry I forgot to mention that my table has a relationship and therefore I can only use SQL to calculate the field value. Is there a way to set up the SQL to calculate automatically every time data is added?
