Issue with Importing Procedure Data into AIS Schema (Curved Segment Loss)

I recently imported procedure data from the flight procedure design system (IDS Air Nav) in AIXM 5.1 format into the ProcedureLeg feature class of the AIS schema. After importing, I encountered errors in the red rectangle area, where the curved segment data was lost. Could any expert kindly help me resolve this issue? Many thanks to everyone

Apologies, it has been quite a while since you shared your data. But I do have some more information for you that I hope will be helpful.

Regarding the procedure leg geometries that are created during import - unfortunately, I think that we will continue to see the disconnected procedure legs in the output. This is because the curve information in the AIXM data is stored in GML that is contained in IDS-specific extended AIXM entities. So we are not currently able to use this information when we construct the feature geometries.

However, I was able to quickly modify the features after import to enhance their cartographic quality as shown in the attached image (ModifiedGeometry.png). This was done using the Filet Tool in our editing toolset. I've attached a short video demonstrating the process.

You may need to densify the curves before the import process into ESRI software.

When using the Import AIXM 5.1 tool, the shape of the features in the database after import are determined by the GML geometries that are present in the original AIXM message. Unfortunately, it looks like the data you shared may be for a different procedure or incomplete because I didn't see any procedure legs in the message for comparison, so it's hard for me to confirm that in this case.

If you share additional AIXM data with procedure data included, I can take another look, but I suspect we will see the same results unless the geometries are changed in the IDS source.

We are working on a post-processing tool to generate improved geometries from the encoded procedure information. We expect to include an initial version of this capability in our upcoming 3.6 release.
