StoryMaps won't recycle or permanently delete

I would like to delete 2 Story Maps; when I try, I'm told "Sorry! There was a problem with deleting this item." Any ideas how I can get them gone? Thank you in advance for your help! 🙂

They may have some content that's delete protected, preventing the story maps deletion. Or you may not have privileges to delete them, especially if you don't own them.
