subtypes in feature services

Question

I need to add subtype to  a feature class, but I need the symbology another field.  Is there a way to do this?

Hi Diana.

1. Create the subtypes to your featuer class, then

2. Add the feature class to your map through top panel by clicking "Add Data" and choose to add "Subtype Group Layer" and Choose your Feature class

Now your feature class appears as Grouped feature classes based on your subtypes. Through symbology choose the field you want to create symbology for.
