Register Component Timeout

Good morning all,

I'm trying to register our instance of GeoEvent Server with ArcGIS Monitor, and the connection keeps timing out after 5,000 milliseconds. I've double checked the URL I'm using, and have also tried rebooting both machines, all for naught. Is there something else I should be trying?

Hi @BenClark,

Is the GeoEvent Server in the same network as the ArcGIS Monitor Agent you are trying to register it with? It's a bit suspicious that monitor is reporting that no connection can be made within a 5 second timeframe.

Something you could try is installing an ArcGIS Monitor Agent on the GeoEvent machine, registering it with ArcGIS Monitor Server, and then registering GeoEvent with that new agent.
