How to open a .adf file in ARCGIS?

i have downloaded global LU and LC map in ESRI format but i am not being able to open it in Arc Gis desktop

this file is probably in esri grid format. Be sure have both the dataset and info folders. Catalog will only recognize data that is in the proper structure to be read; to see what's actually in the folder you need to use Windows Explorer.

Please check your data are intact, it should be in this structure:

ArcGIS Help (10.2, 10.2.1, and 10.2.2)

I nevigated the directory above the file, but it shows empty in the catalog
