What is the “properties table”?

The Edit feature attributes documentation says:

When you edit feature attributes, consider the following:

• If a feature class or a related table is not in the active project, a warning icon appears in the selection tree view. You can click these items and directly edit attributes, or right-click them and add the data to the map and edit them in the properties table.

What is the properties table?

Hi Bud - if I'm reading the help documentation correctly, the properties table is the lower half of the Attributes Pane.  Or at least that is what it reads to me.  See image below.
