Layer/Legend tool on map to open automatically

Question

I'm wanting to have the Layer/Legend for my web map to be within the same window instead of multiple widgets open on the map. This set up is ideal for a desk top view but for tablets and phones, it is not ideal. I wanted to use the Layers tool on the map, which has the two tabs to toggle between the Layers and the Legend, but I don't see where I can set that to stay open by default. So seems I will have to use the Layers widget for this to happen.... is there away, however, to set up the legend as a tab within the Layers widget like it is set up for the layers tool in the map? If not, has this been suggested? I know you can click for the legend to show within the Layers widget, but it doesn't create a separate tab and most using this web app won't understand to click the symbol next to the layer that will open the legend since it has no label stating so, just map tips, which again not all will even know that exists. I posted pictures to show what I'm talking about. I hope this was clear.

Not sure if this post can help, but it sounds like you could create a setup like that using a Section widget

Yes I did see that and I guess that will have to work. I'm not a fan of the layout like this however, maybe that's just me. It would be nice if there was still the option to have it look the way it is in the Layers tool on the map... I know many that don't even notice there's a scroll bar and need to continue to scroll to see more info. I'm all about making things as monkey proof as possible so I still see a not very tech savvy person having issues with this layout. But thank you for the response.

The Map Layers widget has the Show Legend option allowing it to operate as both the layer list and the legend. This option was introduced in Experience Builder 1.12, so it is not available in Enterprise versions older than 11.2.
