I'm struggling to smooth contours in ArcMap

I would like to smooth some jagged contours I extracted from a DEM raster. I also would like to remove very small contours (like points or small circles) and irregular lines. I am struggling with the Smooth Line/Smooth Polygon & Simplify Line tool parameters. I would like to know which of the tools to use to achieve the best results as well as the optimal parameters (values, algorithms, etc.) to use.

Contour interval is 50m

There is an Esri tech support article that explains how to best do this in ArcGIS Pro but I imagine all the same concepts can be traced back to ArcMap. Take a look and see if this helps:
