REGISTER AS VERSIONED = EDITS TO BASE (GREYED OUT)

Question

Hello,

I need to make Feature Dataset 'Register as Versioned' with an option to move edits to base. I don't have a problem to 'Register as Versioned' but the option to moved edits to base is greyed out (see the attachment).  I am guessing one (or a few) layers are causing the problem.

How can one find out which layers are the culprit that cause this option to be greyed out?

Were you able to resolve this problem by process of elimination?

More than likely the data in the feature dataset doesn't support this versioning option, or you already have some data in the feature dataset that is registered as versioned that does not use this option. Did you check the individual properties of all the classes in the feature dataset to make sure they are not already versioned and not using this option?

Is this link helpful: Problem: One or more of the selected objects does not support moving edits to base.

I'd think Cause #2 or #3 are likely options.
