Hey Urban team! Would anyone happen to know her have exposure to 3D wind analysis, either using Urban or ArcGIS Pro? This is a rather unique request I received today, a type of model I have never heard of being used in our applications - as of yet. Any tips or insight would be greatly appreciated! The customer mentioned this being shown in the 'Markham web scene example' - I believe from one of the most recent UCs?

Hi Hannah,

Thank you for clarifying what you are actually looking for. I asked some people in our office here in Zurich but I couldn't find anyone who has a broad experience in wind analysis mapping.

Maybe you find some wind-mapping enthusiasts on the GeoNet space of ArcGIS Pro or on this GitHub repo: GitHub - Esri/wind-js: An demo animation of wind on a Canvas layer in the JSAPI

Hi Dominik,

Thank you for your response! I'm not looking for a specific wind analysis model, just to speak with someone who may have experience mapping wind analysis with either ArcGIS Urban or ArcGIS Pro. Personally I've never heard of this sort of use case, (how might someone plot wind other than perhaps isobars or show barometric pressure?), I'm just reaching out in hopes that there may be someone who's done something like this before.
