We currently use mailchimp to produce organization newsletter, we would like to include maps in the newsletters. Is there a way to make them interactive in the newsletter? Or will we just have to paste a picture of the map and then include the link.
It may work but most likely will get picked up with spam filters. Some email clients also block iframe elements so that could be a dead end too. Best be might be to link out to your webmap from a static image within the email.
You could do this with an ArcGISOnline webmap. Check out embedding a webmap:
