Very new to CityEngine and having major problems that i do not know how to fix

Question

I have been trying to use map data to recreate the silverstone racetrack in the uk following the same methods used in this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yp5eg4hEnuQ <- this video. when i get to the point where im trying to generate the models nothing is happening. im clicking generate and nothing happens no models generate the shapes in the inspector panel have no rule files along with them whereas in the videos about using the map data i have seen they all talk about how it automatically creates rule files but mine just isnt doing this, what am i meant to do as a new user im just thoroughly lost and confused any help is appreciated.

The search bar in the "getMapData" is buggy for some people, but if you manually zoom into your area of interest and set the extent, you should be able to proceed.  The extent has to be a certain distance, not too small/big or it will ask you to resize.  Also, I don't know how it would work if you don't have an Arcgis Online account (or if school licenses are different), as that is all I have known.

The shapes may not have CGA attached to them at import/load but it is easy to select a code from the ESRI library and apply it.   Select your shapes first and use the "assign" in the inspector pane, or select your shapes and drag and drop the code directly onto them using a code from the navigator pane.  You'll find some starting codes in the "rules" folders.   Also, there are lots of free codes that you can find if you search through these forums.

The only thing i can thing of as the cause of the issue is that i dont have the elevation data tickbox it says i need a free trial for that even though i am using the software through my University which means it should be ticked and i should have access to that already so im just confused.
